Brittney Greene Joins the Board of the TranZed Alliance
Brittney D. Greene, Funeral Director for Vaughn Greene Funeral Services, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the TranZed Alliance, a nonprofit child-serving organization located in Baltimore.
It is the parent organization for The Children’s Guild, Monarch Academy Public Charter Schools, the Upside Down Organization (UDO), the National At-Risk Education Network (NAREN), and The National Children’s Guild Fund.
Formed in 2013, the TranZed Alliance is an innovative organization committed to positively impacting young lives through a continuum of educational services, behavioral health support, training and consultation services, and a national foundation. The Alliance strives to bring about social, emotional, and academic growth in all children by transforming the way adults who engage with them, think, feel, and behave. Board members work to promote this effort through long and short range planning, fiscal oversight, and establishing policies for effective management of the organization, as well as advocacy, fundraising, donor cultivation, and other supportive functions.
After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Media, Culture and Communications from New York University in 2012, Brittney joined her family’s funeral services business and obtained the requisite licensing to become a Funeral Director. A recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship from John’s Hopkins University, she is currently working to obtain her MBA in addition to the position she holds at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services.
“I greatly admire the mission of the TranZed Alliance and it is a tremendous honor to join their board,” said Greene. “It is personally very meaningful to me to be part of an outreach program that makes such a significant positive impact on our children. I have tremendous respect for the Alliance’s flexible, forward-thinking approach to the transformation of our youth and I look forward to contributing to their vision for the future.”
