Obituary of Morris B. Montague

Mr. Morris Bernell Montague was born in Washington, DC on August 30, 1941 to the late Robert and the late Estelle Foster Montague. He was educated in the District of Columbia Public School system. After serving in the army, Morris became a long distant truck driver, which enabled him to travel to almost every state in the US. Morris had a lifelong love of sports, and nothing brought him more joy than cheering on his beloved Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens. Whether he was watching a game, discussing a favorite team or celebrating a big win, his enthusiasm was unmistakable. After retiring from the trucking industry, he was thrilled to join the Baltimore Orioles Clubhouse staff. Being part of an organization he had admired for so many years, was a dream come true and brought him immense pride and happiness. Morris leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Thelma C. Harley and Laverne A. Orr, one nephew, four nieces and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceeded in death by three brothers, Andrew Montague, Robert R. Montague and Clifton O. Montague; two sisters, Pearl E. Montague and Doris A. Cannatella; one niece, Karen Montague Bridges; three nephews, Eric P. Montague, Louis C. Montague and Maxwell D. Orr; and his lifelong companion and the love of his life, Ella M. Hamilton. Morris was loved and will be deeply missed. A viewing will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services, 8728 Liberty Road, in Randallstown, MD. Immediately following the viewing, the family of Mr. Morris Montague will travel to the Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, where Mr. Montague will be receive military honors for his faithful service to the United States Army.
