Just to think about 2 weeks ago I was sharing a story about you. In the midst of me telling the story I couldn’t stop laughing, all I could think about was you placing mustard on Mr Horton’s desk knowing that he had a phobia of it and you reaction when Mr Horton screamed and yelled “who did this”. You treated me like your lil sister and I loved your crazy self for it. The fact that I can’t scream your full government name out when I bump into you and watch you get so mad at me while I’m laughing is bothering me. Shamar wasn’t just someone i met because of mom, Shamar was my brother. Everytime Shamar came around, the mood could literally be the worst ever & he would come & lighten it up. Im going to miss him so much i never thought i would see the day that he wouldnt be with me anymore. It is with such deep sadness for me to have to write this farewell to a young man with so much Promise. Shamar Daniel was a gentle soul. He was a son who deeply respected and loved his mother. He reminded me of a cousin of mine, Eugene, who lived with his mother, the late legendary icon Ms. Eliza McBean. Like Eugene, Shamar would not flew the coupe. His life was his mother, Dari. I watched both of them debating the issues and at one point Shamar stated to his Mom that she needed to return to the Virgin Islands and run for office so that she would be able to make a difference for our young people and he was serious. God has called this young man home, only he knows best. As Dari Lee Barnes, Shamar's mother told me "I'm Good. I have GOD in my life." I love you Dari. We believe in you. The Brann Family.

Shamar it’s so hard to wrap my head around all this however I know i can’t change fate. I thank you for coming in my life and bringing me so much joy. All my troubles went away whenever we were around each other. I have spent almost every day of this year with you Laughing, talking about everything, and majority of the time we hated to part ways. You wanted me around regardless of what you were doing and I loved being in your presence. It got to a point where people would question if they seen one without the other. And you would always say you could feel me coming. We could communicate without words. Continue to share energy with me please. You loved me and I Loved you for it. When we first started out you were so aggressive and resistance. Today you were very much a changed man. Your outlook on life was different, your heart got bigger, you listened more, had more patience and I couldn’t wait to see what you blossomed into. I think I softened you up a bit. But i like to think your change was for this moment. I didn’t get a lot of time but I am forever grateful to know you and as you would say “make your days”. You would fuss about me and your mom on your case but when I asked you would you have it any other way, you always said no. You were ready. My heart is so heavy right now but I know you don’t like me crying, or you will have a fit so I’ll be strong. Your mom is a soldier as well and I see where you got your strength from.
