An amazing police officer and amazing person. I’ll never forget your kindness, compassion, understanding, and acceptance you showed me. I learned so much about policing from you while at HAPF and I still carry those lessons today. I can’t think of anyone who personified what it meant to be a good and kind person like you did. You rose above the crap and always had a kind word to say or a smile on your face. You could always crack a good joke to lighten the mood. May you truly Rest In Peace Tolson. I, like so many others will always remember your presence, and though your gone, you’ll always live on in our memories,

My heart has been heavy since I received the news of your passing. I would never think in a million years that I would be doing this right now.
I think back to growing up with you, Cynthia, Aunt Nellie and Uncle Jamsie. Going places together and being spoiled. You were the big brother that I never had. You watched out and over me,and I just knew that I was going to be safe. You took me under your wings until I became grown; and then I thought that I knew everything, until u stepped in and changed my Outlook. ( I was grown, but you always knew best.) Lol.
Thank you for being there for me and showing the world what a real man truly is. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten. I hope and pray that I make you proud. Rest easy Jimmy. I love you now and forever. Enjoy your wings.

Mere words cannot express my heartfelt condolences to the Tolson family, many friends, and to his law enforcement colleagues. I had the distinct honor and privilege to work closely with Jimmy during our tenure together with the Housing Authority of Baltimore City Police Force.
As fate would have it, we quickly learned that we both grew up in the tight knit Northwood Community, and knew and had many friends in common.
I will always cherish the many fond memories of how compassionate, selfless, and giving Jimmy was to others. These core values not only mad e him a good police officer in our city, but made him a greater person.
Jimmy may you rest in eternal peace!
Humbly Submitted,
Your Friend
Housing Police 4 Life!

I knew Officer Tolson on a professional basis working with the Baltimore City Police. He was always such a friendly and upbeat guy when I would visit his district. My condolences to his family and friends as they endure this difficult time. He will missed by many, I am sure of that.
