Charla touched so many lives, as it was made evident yesterday as we all said our final goodbyes. I was blessed to be one of those individuals. My heart and prayers go out to her family an all those impacted by the loss of her beautiful life. I pray the togetherness I saw yesterday remains and Charla's spirit lives on through her memories. I will never forget your laughs, your jokes, your advice, eating crabs and drinking tea with you.
I went home, and out front my house as I walked in was a Monarch butterfly:) It gave my soul peace. You will be missed my dear friend.

I remember Ms. Charla through my mother when they worked for MTA along with got a chance to meet her daughter. They were very cool people, made sure everything's alright with us. Unfortunately, we lost contact of each other, especially when I moved to NC. Sadly, as we was getting ready for my brother's wedding in PA on the 14th, we received a very devastating update (my mother kept me updated on the news since the 11th through messages and in person). At this very moment, I'm at loss of words because Ms. Charla didn't deserve to go. I am deeply saddened by her untimely death. She will be missed. My condolences goes out to the family and friends of Ms. Charla Melvin. Hoping for the storm to pass by to see the sunshine again. Much love.

Wow what is there not say about my ex wife. She was an amazing woman. We talked all the time and sometimes everyday. She gave me energy even though I was tired from work just by our conversation about our son. She was my best friend even though we were divorced because of the relationship we carried. UGH!!! Charla was my first friend at MTA. She trained me and taught me so much about the job. Our birthdays are a couple weeks apart and we'd buy each other strawberry shortcakes. Every Friday she would tell me "come to the house and eat crabs with me" only God knows how much Imma miss those conversations. I LOVE YOU CHARLA. Rest in Peace and watch over us.

I know there are no words that could ease your pain right now. But it's moments like this where the power of love and prayer will prevail.
