Oh behalf of the American Red Cross of the Sandhills of North Carolina, please accept our sincerest condolences and our prayers for your family during this sorrowful time.
Within the Sandhills Chapter, disasters and fires happen at all hours of the day and night. Thankfully, there are always Red Cross volunteers ready and on-call to respond. One of those volunteers was Herman, who answered the phone time after time to help people as a Disaster Action Team volunteer. Always dedicated despite health challenges, Herman remained on-call as a DAT Team Member as recently as September. His skills and calm demeanor have brought comfort to families and helped put them back on the road to recovery.
His positive and happy demeanor was a joy to the American Red Cross of the Sandhills of North Carolina, and he will be greatly missed. Thank you, Herman.
