To the family of both Gertrude Thomas and Penny Thomas-Miles, we (the Rich family, Thomas, JoAnn, Adrian, Kwame and Joshua) are saddened to hear of the passing of your mother and your sister. Both Mrs Thomas (Ms Gertrude) and Penny were an awesome encouragement to our family for a number of years and both must be considered a loss not only to us but to the communities where they were so loved, especially as we knew them on Beaumont Avenue.
Penny and Robin were baby sitters for Adrian and Kwame and did an excellent job. Carroll and Harold were their Little League coaches and umpires at the DeWees Park, and Mr Thomas genuinely discipled me in Christ before his untimely demise.
We send the entire family our sincere condolences, love and prayers.
Romans 8:38-39 ESV
38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
