I met Jackie about 20 years ago when my cousin John first introduced her to our family. From then on she was "one of us". Jackie and John were inseparable. They did everything together although Jackie finally did draw the line at a favorite family activity - camping. Jackie vowed never again after her one time experiment with sleeping in the outdoors saying, sorry, but there are too many bugs and snakes for me!
I send my condolences to Jackie’s family, her son and the granddaughter she adored, but also to John who was more than a special friend. John loved Jackie immensely and for 20 years was always by her side as best friend, lover, help-mate, traveling companion, and in later years as her health began to fail, faithful care provider.
I pray that God will help all of you in your sorrow and grant you the courage to face life tomorrow knowing Jackie will always be there smiling down on us until we all meet again on the other side.
