I share good memories of Mary Gloria as person who loved her family deeply. When I look at her photo, I see the exact image of her mother (Mary DeShields)...my former mother-in-law.
Mary was always available to give whatever she could to help a cause or family outing.
She is missed already...may she rest in perfect peace.
Sincerely,
Carol Carter & (son) Gordon Walker

Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for Mary's passing. She warmly welcomed me - a foreigner - into her family as her beloved brother George's wife. On many occasions when I visited from New York she made us her special delicious crab cakes and told many amusing stories about the family. Since then I have always associated Mary with great food, much laughter and updates on family achievements and activities. She was an incredible person whose memory will live on in my heart. She will surely be missed by everyone and I send my deepest sympathies to her family, relatives and friends with whom I share the sadness of her loss. However, my lingering memory will be that she was a joy to know, a good friend, and a loving mother, daughter and sister.

To the Family of Mary DeShields Watts- Harold, I was so sorry and sadden to read about Mary's transition. We were class mates at Carver High School and we had lots for fun for three years together .As I recall Peggy Davis was her best girlfriend in the class. I use to visit her home on Division Street when I was employed at Pop Kelley's men's shop. I sorry that I will not be able to attend her services on Friday but I will try to locate other classmates for the streaming. My condolences to all of you and may the God of Comfort be with you. Peace and Blessing,
'

I loved the block cookouts, the way she loved my family as if we were all blood. I loved her cooking and how she always made me, and my kids, her grandchildren feel loved. Thank you for all the long talks, guidance, and prayers. Not how I wish things to be. As long as I am in my right mind, you will always be thought of, spoken about in love and remembered as such. Till we meet again, I will be working on my chocolate cake skills and getting my dancing on.
:o)

I remember Mary with much love in my heart my mother( Mrs Birdie) love her so much they spent quite a time together when Mary was a young woman She came to visit us every weekend she would show Robbie and I how to dance. I always though she was a pretty girl .She love life and have a wonderful smile She love her mother and her children she brag about her son and was so proud of her daughter because of all her achievement. Sickness and death rods us of so much and one day Almighty God we wipe out sickness and death forever. The family of Mary Gloria has my deepest sympathy and I pray that the God of comfort will comfort you all.
