Ruby was born to Nancy and McKinley Presley on March 4th, 1928 in Chambers County, Alabama. As a child, she spent her days on her parent's farm, playing games and pranks with her older brothers and helping her mother in the kitchen. Ruby met her first husband, Calvin Finley; they married 1945 and went on to have two children, Curtis Finley and Joyce Finley. She started her career as a domestic worker before taking her culinary skills to the kitchens of Good Samaritan Hospital, and later, Mercy Hospital. Despite never attending high school, Ruby was a large advocate for education, encouraging her family members to always do their best in whatever they decided to do. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, Ruby also loved gardening, volunteering at Friendship Baptist Church and helping to organize social events at her senior living home. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Ruby joins her first husband Calvin, her second husband Thomas Ryles, and her son Curtis in Heaven. She is survived by her daughter Joyce, her grandchildren Wanda, Jeffery and Tiffany, her great grandchildren Seante, Soren, Tiara, Shannon, and Sinatra, and her great-great grandchildren Cameron, Carter, Kamya, Emilee, and Jaiden. Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance."
