To my cousin Bernita and the Butler family: I was so shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of my dear cousin-in-law, Robert. What an awesome man of God!!
When I first met Robert, after being around him for a couple of days while he was visiting in NC, I told my cousin, “don’t let this one get away”. She took my advise and became his wife which made Robert so happy. What a beautiful couple... the love that they had for each other was so visible.
I truly thank God for allowing my friend Leonard and I the opportunity to spend a week with Robert and Bernita on vacation in Williamsburg, Va. in September 2020. The thought never crossed my mind that it could possibly be our first and last couple’s vacation. Even though it was “boring” per Robert, lol, because we couldn’t venture out due to Covid, it was fun just spending time together. Of course, Robert was missing his “Blake”, his four legged friend. He loved himself some Blake....that’s obvious when you get up every morning at 5:00am to take Blake for his daily ride.
Robert will truly be missed by his wife, his biological family, his Church family, Blake and many other friends.
Will be praying for my family and all others during this most difficult time.
May you Forever Rest In Peace ... Enjoy your new Heavenly home.
