Obituary of Herbert Emanuel Spencer

Herbert Emanuel Spencer, Sr., age 94, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. A lifelong resident of Baltimore, MD, Mr. Spencer was born on May 24, 1926, to Ernest and Mildred Spencer. Prior to retirement, Mr. Spencer was employed as a claims examiner for the U.S. Social Security Administration. Mr. Spencer served in both the U.S. Navy and the Army. A man of integrity, he was given the title of "The Cardinal" by his church family at Huber Memorial Church, Baltimore, MD. A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212 from 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM. A celebration of his life will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Huber Memorial Life Center, 5700 Loch Raven Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21239. The wake will begin at 10:00 AM. The burial will immediately follow the funeral services in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD.
