Obituary of Mary Lou Harris

Mary Lue Harris daughter of the late DeArthur Davis and Ruth Davis was born on February 3rd, 1942 in Littleton, North Carolina. She departed this earth on February 9th, 2021 just six days after her birthday. She received her education at John R. Hawkins high school in Warrenton, North Carolina. She accepted Christ as her savior and was a member of Faith Baptist church. Mary married the love of her life Raymond Harris on August 26, 1961 and had a daughter the late Carolyn Harris in 1962. They would then go on to build a wonderful life together. She ventured on many cruises and trips as she loved to travel with her husband Raymond, family, and friends. For majority of her work history, she was employed at General electric and Heilman brewing company until she retired. She also loved hosting with her husband cookouts at their home for family and friends to get together. Mary made sure her family felt her love through home made desserts for the holidays, touching phone calls to check in. Also, with just stating a simple I love you and these are just a small portion of things we will remember and miss her for. She was also a devoted mother, wife, family member, and friend. All that knew Mary will miss her deeply for her kind heart, her honesty, strong will, and love for people. Mary leaves to cherish in her memory her loving husband Raymond Harris who departed shortly after, her sister Helen Solomon, her brother George Davis, two sister in laws Sandra Wright and Ann Bostic (Bill), nieces, nephews and a host of other loving family members and friends.
