I extend my heart-felt condolences to the immediate family and the larger extended family of Dr. Leon Matthew Donaldson. He was my colleague and good friend at Morgan State College and Morgan State University for the thirty-five years that he served on the faculty there. His inspiring teaching touched and helped to shape two generations of Morgan students, 1972-2008. When he retired, after 35 years of service, we knew that we were losing one of Morgan’s most conscientious and devoted educators, but we also knew that the University had had the good fortune to benefit from his long-standing service. His fellow educators at Morgan and I will miss him, but we will also be comforted to know and to remind his family that the PRESENCE of his ABSENCE does not mean the ABSENCE of his PRESENCE in our lives. He will live with us forever. Peace be with you all!
