Obituary of Doris Isabel Rodgers Owens

Doris Rodgers Owens of Baltimore, MD was born the third of ten children on January 29, 1923 to Arthur and Lucille Rodgers in Creswell, North Carolina. At the blessed age of 98, Doris entered her eternal rest on March 23, 2021. She was a 1947 graduate of North Carolina Central University. And was the wife of late Roy Owens, Sr for 59 wonderful years. Doris worked in the Baltimore City Public School System and was a kindergarten teacher at the New I.M.A.G.E. Learning Center. She was also a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church for over 50 years. She leaves in her remembrance daughter Rhonda Parker and son Roy Owens, Jr, grandchildren Roy Owens, III, Angela Waller, and Brittany Parker, and an abundance of relatives. A public viewing will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 1:00PM – 5:00PM at Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Services, 8728 Liberty Road Randallstown MD (21133). Services for Mrs. Owens will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Concord Baptist Church, 5204 Liberty Heights Ave.
