Words are not enough to express the pain I feel inside when I was told of your passing. First I must extend my SINCERE CONDOLENCES to the dear wife and children of Chris and to the rest of his family. I can only imagine the pain and hurt y'all are going through but I pray God gives you all the comfort you need to cope throughout this time. Tears and disbelief lingers as I am still trying to process it.. We have been friends since the 7th grade, we lost contact for some time but never did again. Now you are gone. How can that be ???? I will remember our phone conversations and I keep looking back at our last convo in May, the pictures you took with us when u visited Jamaica . Those I will cherish for a life time. I remember our childhood memories with us going to school like it was yesterday, always messing with the girls and then laugh about it. We were all left in SHOCK to learn about your passing, still in SHOCK. Our last conversation says alot but little did I know those words would come to pass. Your school friends like myself, Kerry, Adeon , Franz, Mian, Kirk , Zenna, Tamara, Richard, Juliann, Francine, and Patrice will sure be missing you but we will not forget to talk about you and reminisce with laughter about how you used to trouble us at school. You are gone but will never be forgotten, the memories we have of you will always be a part of our lives. I will let my laughs with you comfort my aching heart knowing that I will never see or hear from you again. May your beautiful soul REST IN PEACE as it was indeed a beautiful one.

MSGT Mattis was a huge influence on my daughter excelling in the MCROTC program, he saw a lot of potential in her and made sure that did great things. I could not believe that he was gone, may God wrap his arms around his wife and children and comfort them during the difficult transition.

This is the definition of "jolt to the system. There aren't enough words to express what your loss has done.
