Obituary of Helen Bell

Helen Bell, age 96, of Bethlehem, PA, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 12, 2021. Helen Bell was born to the late Mike and Lettie Moreno, in Baltimore Maryland on February 7th, 1925. Helen received her formal education through the Baltimore Maryland Public school System. Helen met Robert Martinez Bell and relocated to New York City were the couple later married. Through this union, six children were born. Robert, Tyrone, Carlos, Benito, Elena, and Teresa. Helen, who we all know as mom, or grandma had a remarkable smile, and loved to dance. Some of Helen's favorite things to do was knitting, cooking, watching her favorite shows on television, animals, and taking care of babies. She enjoyed spending time with her family and always was there to lend a helping hand. Helen was a homemaker and had the opportunity to assist with the upbringing of three generations that will forever cherish her memories. She enjoyed telling stories and would often share them with her grandchildren. Helen had a special bond with her sister Doris Moreno and will often communicate through telephone to check in. Helen lived a full and exciting life and at the remarkable age of 96, she was not on any major medication. She was able to independently complete daily task, which included walking and preparing her meals. Helen left a legacy that will continue through her family and will always be remembered by all of us who loved her dearly. In times like this we may question why, but in this case the family can honestly say our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great, grandma died from natural causes and at peace. Helen dedicated the last few years of her life to God and was always deep in prayer as she found Jesus Christ. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 22, 2021, in the East Chapel at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212. The wake will begin at 10:30 AM. The burial will follow the services in Arbutus Memorial Park, Baltimore, MD.
