Obituary of Prophet Alvin Carlton Jones

Prophet Alvin Carlton Jones was born October 29, 1949 and fell asleep suddenly on December 4, 2021. He was the first-born son of the late Elder Charles Franklin Jones, Founder of Solid Rock Assembly of Yahweh. and Mother Corine Booker Jones. He was known as Deac, Pop Pop, Dad, Daddy, Deacon. And Brother Deac. He was the life of the party and when he was around people, he would come alive, and he never met a stranger. He brought a smile to the face of everyone he met in all race's colors and creeds. Deac graduated from Fairmount Heights High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education at Bowie State University in 1974. He was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Delta Mu Chapter. It has been said that the organization grew after he pledged that fraternity. Deac was previously employed at Goddard Space Flight Center as a data analyst. He worked at Walker Mill Junior High School as a Physical Education Teacher and later as a teacher in the Supervised discipline Center. He taught tennis for many years at various clubs in the Baltimore area and privately elsewhere. He was one of the best tennis instructors around. He played in multiple tournaments including the prequalifies for the professional circuit. He was a high-ranking player on the tennis team at Bowie State University. He was a former member of the United States Tennis Association (USTA). The ability to play tennis was one legacy he left for his family as he taught them to play the game. Deac was a great athlete. In addition, he was an avid reader of the bible. He played base violin, chess, checkers, cards, racquetball, basketball, and ping pong. He performed in modern dance. Deac was very competitive. He leaves to celebrate his life his loving and dedicated wife Carolyn. She was the love of his life and he hers, his soulmate, best friend, companion. They were together for 50 years. He has 4 children, Carlton, Yakira, Nasya, and Chira, One son in law Waleed Sr. 15 grandchildren, Shane, Illiana, Ricky, Yahzarah, Naaman, Waleed Jr, Lanayah, Rayah, Raheem, Kareem, Amon, Dayah, Sadiyah, and Wallace. Yakim is no longer with us. Five siblings, Sharleen (fell asleep on 8-2-2021), Michael, Carolyn, Titus, and Charles who is also no longer with us. He has three brothers in law Linford, James Allen, and Marcus. Four sisters in law Loretta (Herman) Beatrice, Sharon (Hans) and Sandra. He has one niece, Takisha, three nephews, James Rashan, Marcus Jr and Franklin. one great niece., Alyssa, two great nephews Chase and Ethan, three aunts, Loretta, Claudette, Yvonne and one Uncle Muhammed. He has a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews, biologically and by law, and one special aunt in law, Natlie Mumford. He has a host of brothers and sisters in Yahweh and a host of fraternity brothers and great friends. A special recognition to a great friend and awesome support, Perry M. Smith. He loved to praise Yahweh and didn't care who was around. As a prophet is message was for everyone to give Yahweh the praise. He left his family the greatest legacy one could desire and that was the knowledge of Yahweh and Yahshua. A memorial service is planned for Sunday December 19,2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Vaughn Greene funeral home located at 8728 Liberty Road Randallstown, Maryland 21133.
