Greg was always that guy my dad would get to take care of odd jobs around the barbershop. If something needed to be done, he would say, I'll get Greg to do it. That was saying alot because my dad didn't trust many people when it came to his shop. But there was something about Greg. They would fuss, fallout and before you knew it, Greg was back in the barbershop. This was their thing and how they cared about each other. I just want to let the family know that we (Tom's Crew) are sending love and prayers of comfort to each and every one of you. Greg is blessed and resting in peace. Love Valerie Grays

Tribute to My Uncle
Gregory,
When a loved one dies, it’s always a time of reflection on their life: the joys, the pain, the laughter and the unconditional love shared. You were your own person and you literally walked to the beat of your own “drum”.
We each write the story of our lives before everyone we meet. Gregory, you meant different things to everyone. You played your role as a son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, a friend, and a comedian, etc.
We all saw you differently. That is the joy of life, being able to see everyone differently. God created us that way. It would be boring if we were all the same. So, I chose to see you as the comedian, because God knew I needed you to bring laughter and silliness in my life.
Yes, you were a pain but “you were my pain”. My family will all agree that you were our pain on loan from God. Everyone is a critic of who we are and how our life is lived but God!
Love Caron (Carson)

Tribute to My Brother
A Note to Ned (Greg)
As brothers, no one can really understand the love we share. You were there for me for every event on my life, good or bad. I will miss the knock on the door, like you were beating drums.
You knew you were the exception, always just showing up, never calling first, I look up and there you were. I miss that already. l will also miss our special TV times, watching Saints and Sinners and Housewives of the Potomac Marathons. Take your rest, my brother, I will see you later. I miss you, but God knew best.
Love Ned, (Man)

REMEMBERING GREGORY
Never Duplicated - Never Forgotten
You were so full of surprises, always doing things your way. Just up and leave, with nothing to say. Not a single word. Like the beat of a drum, suddenly stopped. The sharp sound of a snare; ceased its song. We looked up and you were gone.
Know that you are loved and will be remembered, always. And, not just for the things that you may think, like your demands, requests or even fussiness, or your; send me this, can I have that? I want this, no give me that! Yes, you were temperamental and a little impatient. Just you. You did it your way. That’s you.
But you were also, a friend to many, a caregiver to others. You even took care of our father, when he was sick, making his last days better. You were more talented than most and much smarter than many.
You were my first math teacher, uniquely you. A special kind of handsome. My chocolate cupcake. You absolutely loved chocolate and you loved cupcakes. Ma sent you for danish and you returned with only chocolate cupcakes. Not a good day!
You were a gifted musician, a drummer extraordinaire. From a child beating on trash cans, to showing your skills on stage. Music was in your DNA. A star was born. You cared deeply but tried to hide it. Sometimes that softness was hard to see but those who loved you knew it was there.
And every, now and then, it shown bright; through your smile, contagious laughter, and your silliness, which made everyone feel just a little bit better.
But now there is no more stress, no more fear, no more sadness, no more loneliness, no more pain, and your hip doesn’t hurt anymore. The pressure in your chest is gone and you can breathe. Take a deep breath. I know it feels great filling your lungs with the oxygen of heaven. Now, there is only joy, and most importantly, you are not alone. Ma and Da, came to get you, they said, it was time to go home. And just like that, you were reunited. Your brothers, Gerald and Lewis, flew over to greet you, to talk about the old days on Wolfe St, just hanging, when life was just a little simpler.
My brother, you are free, no walker, no cane, just kicking it, as you walk around heaven all day! Gregory, you will never be duplicated nor forgotten.
Lovingly Submitted, Your Sister and Math Student
