Grandma is what I call you. My God, I can't believe you are now in spirit with us. My words can't express my deepest feelings about how you loved us and your entire family. You played a pivotal role in my life. You taught me so much. I remember always asking you questions about the family. Now that I think back, it wasn't enough. This picture speaks volume of you and grandpa with memories to cherish. Thank God, we had you for 99 years and you were still strong. I am torn, but it was for the best. I will always love you Tina aka momma.

Sadly, we send our sincere condolences to the Davis family on behalf of my Aunt Eva, my dad's (Robert "Teacher" McGhee) sister. I only remember meeting her/you a couple of times during our Family Reunions, but what a joy it was to talk with her/you!! Now you are home in Heaven with our Lord and Savior JESUS the Christ, rejoicing and singing his praises...glory be to God!!!
I pray The Lord will grant you all peace and joy in your hearts that only he can administer, knowing that Aunt Eva is now well in her soul and body; therefore, smiling on all of you!
We love you and God bless you all!!
Respectfully,
Your Nephew,
Robert "Bobby" McGhee & Family

My grandma, my granny, the woman who helped raise me is gone. Part of me has gone on with her. She started it all and she has finished her marathon run. I will always have memories of catching the MTA bus taking trips downtown to Lexington Market for peanuts, you taking me to school at Park Heights Elementary, giving me 35 cents for my favorite Lindens Butter Crunch cookies, running around the corner to your apartment on Denmore Ave., walking to Rite Aid for M&M's, stopping at the penny candy store, and the trip we took to North Carolina on the Greyhound to see your mom and fam. Your mom was up in age as well when I first met her.
We stayed at Aunt Ida's house and man could she cook. I still remember those cheese eggs to this day. I also remember the fire across the street as I slept on the sofa. People would be shocked of the things I remember from my youth. I can remember great granny saying don’t let that boy fall as I jumped off the step, her voice, your voice I can still hear both of you. 99 years you lived to be. My mom did a hell of a job with taking care of you during your resting years. Rest In Power Eva Davis. I will miss you.
Love always,
-Chris Castle
