I have so many memories I don’t even know where to begin. Aunt Joan E. was hubby Bruce’s godmother. He loved her! She was this amazing, bright and culturally and politically astute proud Black women who could hold a conversation and debate with anyone! I remember my first real view of NY was her treating us while in college in NJ and and how she supported us in our marriage and family creation! She loved her nieces and nephews and all of family. Their first Black authored books were from Auntie, the best librarian in the world! I will miss our conversations and dinners at Johnnys. Auntie you will forever be in our hearts! We will never forget you!! Love to our family and prayers especially for her siblings too. Love Debby, Jason, Joy, Shawnee and the grands.
