Obituary of Lucretia Coates

Lucretia Coates, age 73, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 2, 2022. A lifelong resident of Baltimore, MD, Mrs. Coates was born on September 24, 1949, to Mildred and Percy Lane, Sr. A retired educator, Mrs. Coates received her master of arts in education from Morgan State University. She served as Principal at the Dr. Bernard Harris, Sr. Elementary School in Baltimore, Maryland. For eight years, she worked with researchers and educators to develop and implement the Baltimore School and Family Connections project that led to the National Network of Partnership-2000 Schools. Mrs. Coates will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A viewing will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, from 3:30 -6:30 pm. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am, Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 1501 E. Oliver Street, Baltimore, MD 21213. The wake will begin at 10:00 am. The burial will follow the services in Gardens of Faith Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
