My deepest condolence to the Custis family. Rudy and I went to the same JHS in Manhattan. He was a good guy, everyone liked him, we played basketball together, he was a good athlete and very bright.
We didn't keep in touch , but I remember the day we were graduating from Lasalle JHS 17 in Manhattan, the auditorium was very hot, we both removed our jackets and we were both wearing short sleeved white dress shirts, we were surprised. We had thought wearing short sleeve shirts might not be appropriate but we both felt comforted seeing we had the same idea.
It was a long, long time ago.
Rudy and other classmates would often come to mind, so when I looked him up and saw he has passed, it was very sad.
Rudy chose the career in law enforcement as did I.
Rest in peace Rudy. And my God guide the Custis family and his friends.
