John was my mother’s only son and her pride and joy. He was the second, and I was the ninth of ten children. He became for me, a model to which one would aspire. I learned through his actions to value learning, aim for excellence and be resilient. Over the last three years up to shortly before his passing, it was my joy to join him in in a weekly virtual prayer meeting with our siblings. He always closed in prayer and never failed to ask God’s blessings on his sisters.
May his soul rest in peace.
