I was really sad and very shocked to learn of Chris’s passing on Facebook. My family was his next door neighbor for over 25 years. I watched his children grow up guided by the best father and mother anyone could have asked for. I struggled to raise my son as a single mother and secretly wished he had parents as wonderful as Chris and Oma. I struggled so much raising him. They were raising their kids right and they all turned out beautifully due to their guidance. Chris always had a wise word for me to help guide me and was a great, true friend to my father who had few. He was an amazing human that my family and i were blessed to know. I’ve been moved away from Parkville for 10 years now and i still miss them. I pray that Oma and the kids find peace knowing he is now with our Father Jesus. Love you you all from Julie Marmion, Josh Grimes and the Marmion family.

Tribute to Brother Chris
PONZHI O, TAROK
I stand before you to say a few words about a dear brother, an incredible, loving, and caring gentle man.
YOU were a brother every sister deserves, and cherish, but you left us too soon.
When I arrived in this country, you were there for me on every encounter, be it social gathering or just driving down to Gaithersburg to check on me.
You provided all the support a brother could give.
I remember praying that God will provide you with a caring and loving wife.
God answered our prayers, and at the right time Omar cane along to complement Chris.
How could I forget how hard you worked the day I got married.
Chris made sure his limousine was in top shape so he can provide a comfortable ride to our uncle, he cane from Nigeria for the wedding (General J. T. Useni).
Chris and his wife were running around to cover every little detail.
His love for me, my family, and Tarok people goes beyond those that reside in the United States of America.
Chris will always remind the Tarok sons and daughters about the need to establish an association to foster unity among us.
Today, I am glad to share with you that Tarok association known as "Ngwan IShi OTaRoK" became a reality because of his vision.
Chris was the president of our group Ngwan Ishi Otarok.
Tarokland has lost one of his illustrious sons, a great man.
Plateau state, Nigeria, and I am sure Baltimore lost a great jolly fellow, a brother, and comrade.
Chris has fought a good fight, and has finished his race.
May the wind of Heaven blow softly, and whisper in your ears.
Remember those we love don't go away. They walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near.
Rest in peace with the Lord.
We love you.
Joyce and Jack

Uncle Chris, it's still a shock to the family that you've gone to be with the Lord. We will miss you greatly but I believe and know that you've gone to a place where you're needed and will be well-appreciated.
I will never forget all you ever did for me; a box full of wedding gown; shoes and all the necessary accessories for a beautiful bride. You made me one; thanks agbarmi.
We will miss your love, concerns and assistance; YOU played your ROLE very well and no one can replace YOU.
Sleep well agbarmi.

My sincere sympathies to the family. I’ve known Chris and family as neighbors for 27 years. They have always been outstanding, genuine, pleasant, and friendly neighbors. I dubbed Chris “Money” because of his work ethics. Chris and Oma watched over My Mom and I and I am forever grateful for the kind gesture. I will surely miss Chris and his huge smile. May Chris Rest in Paradise
