Obituary of Earl Leon Dixon, II
It was the fourth Monday of December on the 25th day that Earl Leon Dixon, II became absent from his body to be present with the Lord.
Earl was born on June 2, 1980, in Columbia, SC to Dr. Rose B. Dixon and the late Earl Leon Dixon. Earl spent his childhood and school-age years in Fort Washington, Maryland. He was a 1998 high school graduate of Oxon Hill High School in Oxon Hill, Maryland and in 2004 received a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.. Various companies employed Earl throughout his employment but for the past three years worked for Amazon as a Senior Financial Analyst.
Earl accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Fort Foote Baptist Church in Fort Washington, Maryland. He was a sweet compassionate person, honest with strong moral principles, a man of integrity. He was quiet and spoke when he was spoken to. He was funny, earnest and a true friend because if you needed him, he was there. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, hiking, volleyball, softball, plays, concerts, gaming, traveling (Goombay), and spending time with family. Most of all Earl was a beacon of light in the lives of everyone he encountered. He offered words of hope, encouragement, or inspiration, especially in the face of adversity.
