Obituary of Roy Clinton Brown, Sr.

Roy Clinton Brown, Sr., son of the late Jessie and Yula Mae Brown, was born on January 13, 1944, in Pitt County, NC. He departed this life on September 3, 2024. Roy received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System where he later earned his high school diploma. Roy found employment with the Baltimore City Public Works as a sanitation worker for over 17 years and later transferred to the Baltimore City Water department. He worked there for over 30 years as a supervisor until his retirement in 2015. Roy was a beloved father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed listening to oldies but goodies, going to the beach, going to the zoo, cooking on the grill, watching his favorite TV shows, and randomly checking his Facebook page. Roy Clinton Brown, Sr. was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Lee Brown; his daughter, Tina Brown; brothers, Jessie, Zeno and William Brown; sisters, Nellie Saunders, Haze and Estella Brown. He leaves to cherish; One son, Roy Brown, Jr.; one brother, Hubert Brown; one sister-inlaw, Janet Brown; six grandchildren, Shareka, Lavonya, Tanequa, Desmia, TeoShay (AKA Roy Brown III) and Ty'Zaia; eight greatgrandchildren, Nye'Ajia, Chrishay, Shaheed Jr., Brandon Jr., Nizerea, Makayla, Kylee and DJ; one daughter-in-law, Staci; two grandsons-inlaw, the late Shaheed Sr. and Tavon and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
