She was a fabulous teacher. I must have been in her first third grade class in 1972 at Sparks Elementary. To this youngster she seemed like an experienced teacher. She was easily able to solve any riddle I could come up with. I know I wasn't the best student she had, but I'm certain I became a better person thanks to her, and the other wonderful teachers I had including Mrs. Diane Diven. Peace to you. Heaven has gained another saint.

When my family heard of the passing of Mrs. Lee, we were so saddened. Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Diven were my families educators during Sparks Elementary and Hereford Middle School years. These were the classes you looked forward to going to. May God wrap His loving arms around the Brenda Lee family during these times. We will continue to lift you all in prayer.

Mrs. Lee was my third, fourth and sixth grade teacher at Sparks Elementary School. She and Diane Diven were the best teachers I ever had. I remember how much fun they were and how much love and respect they instilled into their students. Two memories I have that will always remain in my heart are: 1: My twin brother and I switched classes to see if anyone would notice. Mrs. Lee was fooled for only a short time and then marched me over to Mrs. Diven's class to reveal that we had switched. They laughed for days. Also, I remember when two African American students started a fight with each other and Mrs. Lee brought in all of us (African American students) and reminded us that we had a greater standard to lift and that we couldn't fight amongst each other but we had to stick together. My late father loved Mrs. Lee...my mom still remembers her as a beautiful and lovely person. My twin and I are 55 years old now and NEVER forgot Mrs. Brenda Lee and NEVER WILL. What a blessing! Our hearts and prayers go out to the Lee Family. God bless and keep you all.
